I think she moved in with the neighbors. Paul and Nancy always said that they though she was a great cat. I think that they have wanted her to move in with them for a long time.
I guess she got tired of eating pizza with me. Maybe I should have ordered some other toppings besides hot peppers and anchovies.
I really ought to clean up all the empty boxes. But then where would I put tonight's pizza? The stack of empties makes a convenient little table here next to my computer.
Steve stopped by last week. I didn't let him into the house. It's too messy in here now. He didn't look like he really wanted to stay, anyway. He said that he just wanted to offer his condolences because he heard that I lost my job. It took him long enough to come around. It's been three weeks since SRG gave me the boot. He said Daisey was trying to get in touch with Amy, but our phone is always busy. I wrote her mother's number on the back of a pizza order slip. It was kind of greasy and he looked a little offended. Fuck him. He probably just wanted to see what I was up to. I'll bet SRG put him up to it.
Maybe he'll come back. Next time he should call first and I will take a shower before he arrives. I might even put on a shirt and socks.
I wish Amy would call. Maybe I should disregard her letter and call her, first.
Hell, no. It would sound like I was begging her to come home.
Then I really would have to clean up the house.
